Community Arts + Social Engagement
Who we are
CASE is dedicated to working with diverse populations across the city by offering free programs, projects, and creative opportunities in partnership with artists, arts organizations, institutions and community groups.
What we do
- CASE offers permanent and temporary commissioning opportunities to local community-based artists.
- Establishes an inclusive approach to partnerships involving community stakeholders.
- Incubates and supports new programs, events, and community initiatives.
#ottmusik
The City of Ottawa is very proud to introduce 25 new tracks selected for the #ottmusik playlist! #ottmusik is an initiative that brings local music to the City of Ottawa's phone systems. The goal is to answer calls as quickly as possible, but when a caller has to wait or in the event of a transfer, you’ll hear local music from this playlist.
Murals on Underpasses
The Murals on Underpasses Project was created to beautify and enhance underpasses as key gateways to the City with images that reflect and depict local culture, history or visions of artistic expression.
Young at Art
Young at Art is a juried art exhibition bringing the work of young visual artists (aged 12 to 19) to local art galleries. Held annually since 1996, Young at Art recognizes the creative efforts of young artists across Ottawa. Accepted works are displayed in a community gallery and are eligible for a number of prizes and awards.
