What we're excited about this month

What are you excited about for February? Join the conversation on Facebook and let us know!

"Ahh February! It’s still winter but I find myself starting to look towards March Break vacation with the family and I even start to plan for summer. This year my son starts to work on his community hours so volunteering with the City is a great way to earn those hours. I think this is also the year he will sign up for a leadership certification course where he can get some valuable training to help him develop skills for that part time job he wants to find. February is a month to plan the year ahead, get involved, and take advantage of all the opportunities there are in our own community."

"February is such an exciting time in Ottawa. While I'm not the biggest fan of winter, I love taking the family to the Winterlude activities (who doesn’t love a hot Beavertail on a cold day?). Lansdowne Park is having a retro roller disco this month, where I get to dust off my quad skates and pretend I'm 16 all over again, this time with my husband in tow. It looks like February will be full of family time and date nights in the city. Enjoy!"

"To me the best thing about winter is going south (ha ha). That’s not going to happen this year so I’ll do what may prove to be the next best thing and go to the new cultural music festival that’s been added to the final weekend of Winterlude: Come See & Hear the World."
